Smartphone market In India will Increase double in the next two years


India is the second-largest mobile market worldwide. It more than 500 million users are using Smartphone in India. It is increasing at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 13.1 %  Peoples are changing there features phone to Smartphone. 

It is possible because the market does have more options for entry-level smartphones. Mostly new Smartphone user choose their Smartphone journey with entry-level segment and low budget Smartphone.

This is possible because in India now a day many companies providing good quality best Smartphone in low budgets, in online as well as offline markets, to a trend of 4G LTE networks provided by operators are the main reason for driving the smartphone users growth.  In Indian Smartphone market have more competition, so companies giving best specification in minimum budget Smartphone. Real me increased there users 49 %, Vivo increased  44 %, One Plus increased 41 %, Samsung increased 9 %,  Xiaomi 25%  and OPPO increased 36 %. Those are the Market leader of the budget segment smartphone market.


The other reason for Increasing Smartphone users in India has increased internet users. Now a day people preferred Shopping online. People using e-commerce websites to buy smartphones according to market research firm techARC, in India 1 in 3 users have shopped using a Smartphone, which means 33.7 % of people using e-commerce sites for shopping. In urban area people using 34.8 % while rural area is also not lagging far behind at 30.2 %, so in India, so many peoples have who prefer e-commerce sites like Amazone, Flipkart, and Smartphone company-owned sites.



Those E-commerce websites give a big discount on monthly or special sell so in less price people buy their Smartphone.

In a recent report, in India the overall market will see a 2 % decrease in their sell compared to last year. In this year 2020 government decide to increased GST (Goods And Service Tax) in electronic devices, So the price of Smartphones will be increased. The ACP (Average sell price) will increase by 8 % and come Fifteen thousand, five hundred to twenty thousand.

In India total approx 45% of Smartphone users and 55% feature phone users have, In the year 2022 that ratio will change and in overall India total of 70 to 75 % of users will use smartphones.





In 2013 Features phone 78% and Smartphone 22%
In 2019 that ratio change 44%, 56%, and in the future year 2022 Smartphone consumers reached 70% and feature phone users left only 30%.

In 2019 Q4 Xiaomi registered the highest number 27% of sell after Vivo achieved 21% of sell, Samsung 19% of the total market, Oppo 12% of sell, Realme 8% of sell and other brands like Apple, Oneplus, Asus, Infinix have total 13% of market share.





Less data tariffs and increasing smartphone infiltration have ensured that users and their devices are always connected and on. Mobile devices are becoming the consumer's preferred choice to consume content. This has made it important for content creators and distributors to give their content and services for the mobile consumer.
